About this event

• What we'll do "Cryptographic Keys, Addresses, Wallets; Controlling Ownership of Funds" *What is it about? This presentation, by blockchain developer, consultant and trainer Stéphane Roche, is mainly focused on cryptography and aims to explain how it is used in Bitcoin to control ownership of funds. We will see how public key cryptography forms the basis of this system, how multiple pair of keys are derived from a single root seed, how mnemonic passphrases are generated and how modern Bitcoin HD wallets are constructed. Lastly, we will review the various encoding formats used to represent private and public keys. Expect to learn a lot of interesting things! && "Bitcoin Pizza Day" *What is it about? Laszlo Hanyecz (laszlo) made the first documented purchase of a good with bitcoin when he bought two Domino's pizzas from jercos for 10,000 BTC. laszlo had made contributions to Bitcoin's source code in the past. On May 17, 2010, laszlo posted a request to buy pizza with bitcoin. It was on May 22 that he reported successfully trading 10,000 BTC for two pizzas, with jercos ordering the pizza and receiving the coins. The bitcoins were quoted at $41 at the time of the offer. We will therefore celebrate it with a pile of pizzas, beers and crypto! *** Entry is 10€ and it comes with a beer and pizza! RSVP only if you're sure you'll attend, so we know how many pizzas to order! • What to bring • Important to know
