As the 2019 host association, EFRIARC (Portuguese Association of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers) has the honour to cordially invite you to the Eurovent Annual Meeting in Braga on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 May 2019.

Next to meetings of the Eurovent Board, Commission and General Assembly, EFRIARC is offering you an in-depth Thursday evening networking programme, which will allow you to discover Portugal from the local perspective.

Annual Meeting Programme

This year's Annual Meeting will take place at the Vila Galé Collection Braga Hotel in a traditional Portuguese setting.

When selecting your ticket, please choose the 'Annual Meeting' ticket. In case you wish to bring along your spouse or another accompanying person, please also select the 'Spouse' ticket. 

Wednesday, 22 May 2019 - Arrival day and welcome reception

18:30-20:00h, Meeting point: Vila Galé Collection Braga Hotel (Hotel lobby / Reception)Arrival and registration

Participants will gather in the hotel lobby to register and receive their badge, and then walk jointly to the Braga City Hall, where they are invited for a welcome drink and reception hosted by the Braga City Council President .

09:00-15:00h, Meeting point: Vila Galé Collection Braga Hotel (Hotel lobby / Reception)Porto city tourOpen to all participant's spouses and accompanying persons

Participants will meet in the hotel lobby and leave by bus to the famous city of Porto for an interactive day full of activities. The programme includes a 6 Bridges cruise on Douro river, a guided visit to Real Companhia Velha Cellar with Port Wine tasting and lunch at a local restaurant (beverages included).

At 15:00h, participants will jointly return by bus to the hotel.

Thursday, 23 May 2019 - Evening programme

19:00-23:00h, Meeting point: Vila Galé Collection Braga Hotel (Hotel lobby / Reception)Portuguese music evening complemented by dinner with a stunning viewOpen to all meeting participants and accompanying persons

Organ concertParticipants will meet in the hotel lobby and leave by foot to a nearby building to experience a musical performance of the majestic instrument organ. The concert will include pieces by composers from all European countries represented within the Eurovent Association network.

Dinner followed by a 'Tuna' concertAfter the organ concert, participants will jointly leave by bus to Hotéis Bom Jesus for a traditional dinner and will continue the musical experience with the concert of the famous Tuna Universitária do Minho. Both acts will be accompanied by a stunning view over the city.

'Tuna' is an old traditional student peculiar orchestra, that started to play centuries ago in the Coimbra University, which is one of oldest universities in Europe. It was founded in 1290 by the Portuguese King D. Dinis. The 'Tunas' became popular also in other Portuguese universities.
