QUALITY ENGINEERING IN PRACTICE

Quality Engineering is the area of software development that is responsible for the automation of functional and integration tests that aim to guarantee the quality (QA) of systems in the user's perspective.

The role of the Quality Engineer mingles with the QA (Quality Analyst) in understanding quality requirements and creating test scenarios, and with DevOps by maintaining the automation environment (CI/CD) and creating and maintaining automation frameworks, libraries and tools and of course for writing automated tests focused on pre-defined quality metrics.

In this talk will be presented the role of QE (Quality Engineer), the skills and responsibilities involved and how we can use tools like Python, Javascript and CI to ensure the quality of any kind of software.

Bruno Rocha is a Software Engineer from São Paulo, Brazil. He currently works with Quality Engineering and Test Automation at Red Hat.

He actively participates in the QA, Python, Flask and Rust communities and maintains some open-source libraries.

He shares his knowledge on Youtube, Podcast, Github, meetups and articles on his personal blog http://brunorocha.org

Bruno is a father of a boy, he loves to work remotely traveling around the world with his family, he likes to cook vegan food and ride a bike in the free time.
