A full introduction to UX Research divided into two workshops: - Part 1 (5th of October 2019): theory and gathering of data - Part 2 (12th of October 2019): data analysis and design thinking We highly recommend to attend both Part 1 and Part 2. OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP: - Project-based learning with the theme proposed - Learn about some technics for the quality data research within UX - Use and experience technics like an interview, short field work participatory observation with the beneficiary of your research - Presentation of what are the right questions to ask and how to frame set of right questions according to the theme you work on - Learn about who is your informant and how to do the quality research in the field. - Learn about how to create a trust-based relationship with your informants - Use of a combination of qualitative research methods with design methods and system thinking - Creation of design strategy as an output ABOUT THE TEACHER - Laura Korčulanin Design anthropologist, convenor EASA AAN, Give a Shit Laura Korčulanin is design anthropologist, founder of Give a Shit project and independent interdisciplinary consultant. Currently she is affiliated as a professor and PhD student at Design faculty IADE – UE, specialising herself in Human-Centred Design and sustainable urban sanitation. From 2008 on, she develops applicative projects based on ethnography and scientific research results together with different stakeholders (municipalities, business and NGO’s) focusing on people centred sustainable practices. Her international professional experience is being underlined with position of direction board convener of EASA Applied Anthropology Network, cutting-edge academic network and innovation space which links academy with business, industry and NGO’s.
